On January 21, 2017, one day after the presidential inauguration of Donald Trump, more than three million people marched across the United States in what became one of the largest single-day demonstrations in American history. Over 600 sister marches were held worldwide, and Los Angeles drew an estimated 750,000 participants.

What began as a one-day act of dissent quickly evolved into a broader awakening of collective action that continues to reverberate into the present day.
