This series marks my first attempt at photographing a protest. Shot in Los Angeles during the 2016 Women’s Day March, these images document a moment when activists, families, and community groups came together to demand gender equity and intersectional justice.
These photos became a starting point for my ongoing interest in documenting social movements and public life.
